On 27 September 2025, the Northriding community came together to celebrate a truly special occasion — the first birthday of Sasol Blandford. It was not just a celebration of a successful year in business, but a celebration of partnership, community spirit, and a shared vision to make Northriding shine brighter.
The Northriding Residents Association (NRA) was proud to partner with Sasol Blandford for this milestone event. The day highlighted Sasol’s positive impact on our area and gave the NRA an opportunity to collaborate with an organisation that believes in a safer, cleaner, and more beautiful Northriding.
One of the standout moments of the celebration was Sasol’s generous donation of R10 000 to the NRA. These funds will directly support future community improvement projects — with Sasol Blandford already stepping up as one of the front runners in our Adopt a Spot campaign. We were also thrilled to welcome Jawitz Properties, who officially joined the Adopt a Spot initiative on the day.
The event itself was nothing short of vibrant — filled with laughter, music, and meaningful connections. Residents, local businesses, and community leaders gathered in a spirit of unity. The Red Bull F1 car drew plenty of excitement, while the Douglasdale Community Police Forum kept everyone happy with their tasty wors rolls. Together, we celebrated Sasol’s journey and the collective strength that keeps Northriding growing stronger. We also wish to thank Caroline George for the sponsorship of the scrumptious customized NRA cupcakes and TRSS Security for donating the popcorn machine for team NRA to use at the event.
“It is partnerships like these that keep our community growing stronger. We are deeply grateful to Sasol for their support and belief in what we are working to build together.” – shared by Team NRA
As we reflect on this successful event, the NRA extends its heartfelt thanks to Sasol Blandford for their generosity, support, and ongoing commitment to our neighbourhood.
🌿Adopt a Spot — Moving Forward in Unity
As we look toward 2026, the NRA is excited to kick off beautification and planting projects in January, with Sasol Blandford and Jawitz Properties leading the way. We invite more local businesses to join this movement and help transform our streetscapes — one spot at a time.
This is more than just planting — it is about restoring pride, building unity, and creating a thriving environment for everyone in Northriding.
